In the shadow of the Old Courthouse, against the backdrop of the iconic Gateway Arch and under the glow of more than 100,000 twinkling lights, St. Louisans will immerse themselves in the city’s sports and cultural offerings at Winterfest’s One Nation Day on Saturday, Dec. 3, at Kiener Plaza. The event is part of the seventh annual Winterfest (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) held Nov. 19 through Jan. 1 at Kiener Plaza.

Gear up in your favorite team’s swag and join the fun with Fredbird, Louie, the St. Louis Blue Crew street team, Cardinals alumni and representatives from St. Louis City SC, with more details to be announced in the coming weeks.

Produced by Gateway Arch Foundation and presented by Bank of America and World Wide Technology, One Nation Day will offer sports and cultural activities for kids and adults. Guests who wear their favorite sports team gear get $1 off skate rentals, and the official merch truck of the St. Louis Blues will be on hand.

“We welcome all St. Louisans and visitors to Kiener Plaza to celebrate the best of St. Louis, including our incredible landmarks, our sports teams and our cultural heritage,” said Camille Brooks, director of programming and events for Gateway Arch Park Foundation. “We’re thrilled that Winterfest and One Nation Day bring the plaza to life during one of the most fun and festive seasons of the year and provides us with an opportunity to show off the exciting things going on in downtown St. Louis.”

As part of One Nation Day, Winterfest will also welcome some of the best #STLMade vendors for a sparkling Winter Market, produced in partnership with Greater St. Louis, Inc. and continuing through Dec. 4. Shop local this season with gifts from Series Six, Arch Apparel, Collections by Joya, Truly Melanin and more!

One Nation Day will also feature a booth from International Institute, STL Artworks — paintings from the African diaspora and other cultural offerings.

So jersey up, stay warm and jingle all the way through a day of holiday shopping for that special someone. Try ice skating. Order food and drinks from the Winterfest Café featuring JR’s Gourmet in one of the heated, pre-reserved igloos. Or roast s’mores at one of the roasting fire pits. The edible, drinkable and playable sports action-packed holiday options at One Nation Day are endless.

Though the event is free and open to the public, reservations are recommended for the skate rentals and s’mores kits and are required for the igloos.

One Nation Day sports schedule includes the following:

  • Noon to 4 p.m.: St. Louis Blue Crew street team
  • 2 to 3 p.m.: Louie
  • 3 to 4 p.m.: Fredbird
